Revisiting a night with MilesJan 22, 2010

This was the last Miles band that we saw live, in our case at the Paramount Theater in Seattle. Darryl Jones, Foley, Kenny Garrett et al, with Miles resplendent as usual in outrageously colorful garb, oblivious to the audience. The DVD in question here is excellent, filmed for the jazz audience and very well-recorded. The performances are very good throughout, especially from Kenny Garrett and Foley, who plays a long and intense solo on a blues, something one doesn't ordinarily expect to be a part of a Miles Davis song list. Highly recommended.

By Stephen Reddy There is nothing really outstanding about this performance, but as a Miles Davis collector, it was a must.
The best part of the dvd is the interview with Miles which runs for about 30mins
